Difficult to decide which album of the Ozric Tentacles to post. Jurassic Shift is another good one worth checking out.
What to say about the Ozrics? In a class of their own, this space rock band from Somerset could be classed as a neo-psychedelic festival space psych reggae jam exploration band. Squelchy basslines combine with freely exploring guitar spirals with intermittent ethereal jungly soundscapes with tribal rituals.

H.P. Lovecraft - This Is HP Lovecraft & HP Lovecraft II
H.P. Lovecraft's first two albums (from '67 and '68), released in 1997 by Britonic Records. Formed in Chicago in 1967. Following a split, the band reformed with different members in 1970 under the name "Lovecraft". They named their band after the horror author, Howard Phillips Lovecraft.
What to say about this mysterious-sounding album? A mixture of blues, acid psych rock and general madness with a folky and at times baroque feel. Great lead vocals, vocal harmonies, acid guitar and an interesting mixture of songs and styles. Excellent cover of "Let's Get Together" with real mystical passages. "The White Ship" is one of the most acclaimed tracks.

Thee Morning Glories - Many Moods
I came across this album sometime around 1996. There is amazingly little information on this excellent band on the internet. The best site for information seemed to be their myspace site. This is basically a one man band - Chris Curylo is crediting with writing, performing and producing all the songs. He seems to be from New York, USA. Even the myspace site is spare, so I am unsure if he has made any other albums as Thee Morning Glories.
This album however, is a real grower, and a genuine fuzz-garage-psychedelic masterpiece of a number of short, poppy songs with a drugged out vibe. Catchy fuzzed and gated guitar riffs, laid back pace, nice vocal harmonies and plenty of echoey effects. Lyrics are seemingly about taking it easy, girls and drugs, though its difficult to work out exactly what's being sung about!
Tracklist:
01 It's The Love, Man
02 On The Way Down
03 In The Sun
04 Smile
05 Easy
06 Bring Me Down
07 You & Me
08 About My Girl
09 Catch Me
10 Time Is Now
11 High ('Till It Hurts)
12 Look In The Mirror
13 Pearl Dog (Early Way Down)
Cool ! Link part 1 Link part 2

Magic Mushroom Band - Spaced Out
Fifth album from the Magic Mushroom Band, from 1991 released on their own label, Fungus Records. Currently available on Magick Eye records. The band formed in 1982 in the UK. Following their split some years later, some members went on to form Astralasia.
Original line-up was: Gary Masters (guitar), Craig Twining (guitar), Wayne Twining (bass), Jim Lacey (Drums)' Royston Burghall (Synths), Kim Russell (Vocals), Jane "Reaction" Bradfield (Vocals).
An interesting mixture of poppy space rock and dreamy intrumental tracks with a mushroomy feel on this album. Overally has a happy upbeat vibe.
Tracklist:
1 | Astralasia |
2 | Look into the Future |
3 | Feel So Fine |
4 | Equasian |
5 | Freedom |
6 | My Hat |
7 | Squatter in the House |
8 | Aquasian |
9 | Aravinda |
10 | Pictures in My Mind |
11 | It Just Takes Time |

Welcome !
Hello and welcome to my blog. I decided to create this blog after being amazed at some of the other blogs out there. I was discovering music I had never known had existed, and forgotten things that I had never known ! I'm currently 29 years old and living in Scotland.
I intend to post stuff that is psychedelic in any way, e.g. 60s/70s psychedelic rock, psych folk, acid, weird, anything trippy and spaced, out there, far out, mushroomy, stoned, different dimension. If you download any albums, please leave a comment for me! Thanks :)
I upload only complete albums, with full album art if available, mp3 format usually at 256 kbps. If you like the music, buy it !
